Advanced Racing Technologies (ART) Rear axle alignment and zero toe bar alignment device. Two tools in one. Does both alignment in same operation.
The axle fixture device makes string alignment procedures obsolete while aiding speed and accuracy. It provides an accurate method of creating zero toe angle and by using a traditional tape measure can align the rear axle.
This gives the kart racer with budget limitations the ability to align rear axles and set zero toe at the same time using one gauge.
Operating the device is simple. After removing the wheels the kart is placed into the fixture and supported by the front spindles. With one steering link disconnected
the spindles are then clamped into a zero toe angle condition. You simply adjust the rod end until it drops into the spindle hole without interference.
You now have zero toe angle. Secondly you measure with a tape measure from the fixture on each side of the kart to the rear axle. Then adjust the rear
axle until each measurement is equal.
DONE! You now have zero toe angle and a rear axle aligned on your kart. How easy is that?
The functional requirements for the rear axle fixture were provided by Mark Weaverling and Chris Wedgwood. Initial testing showed an increase in straight line speed by using the rear axle fixture to provide proper setup.
